Heidi Pucel, FNP-C, chose a career as a family nurse practitioner because it enables her to address the needs of the whole patient and develop long-term, trusting relationships with every patient who walks through the doors at the Apple Valley Medical Center. Ms. Pucel enjoys helping patients of all ages and backgrounds in Apple Valley, Minnesota, treating each one with expert, evidence-based care in an atmosphere that promotes compassion and healing.
Ms. Pucel received a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She went on to earn a degree in nursing from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis.
Rounding out her academic education, Ms. Pucel is certified in basic life support and cardiac life support. She is also a certified bariatric nurse. She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Minnesota Nurse Practitioner Association, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine.
Outside of her work at the Apple Valley Medical Center, Ms. Pucel is involved with charity and spiritual events at Saint Thomas Academy Mothers’ Club. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, watching her boys play hockey and lacrosse, staying active outdoors, and traveling.
