Anticoagulation Clinic Nurse Clinician
In order to provide continued excellent care to our patients, Apple Valley Medical Clinic is seeking a Nurse Clinician. This position is responsible for the management of the anticoagulation therapy of patients, including patient assessment, review of labs, dosage adjustments and pateint education. This position will also be a rpimary resource and leader for continuous quality improvement efforts in anticoagulation. The successful candidates will demonstrate a working knowledge of the physiologic processes of hemostasis and thromobosis and the etiology, risk factors and clinical manifestations of pathologic thrombis formation; possess proven abilities to manage and monitor patients on anticoagulation therapy; and have the ability to educate patients. Requirements include current RN licensure in the state of MN, 1+ years experience providing anticoagulation care services, documented training specific to anticoagulation therapy management, current certification in Anticoagulation Therapy Management (or willingness to obtain), CACP certifcation and Bachelors Degree (preferred). AVMC is currently seeking a Supervisor for our Urgent Care. This key role is responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Urgent Care Department operations and patient care, utilizing management skills and the nursing process. The supervisor works in a nursing capacity providing patient care, as well as performing UC nursing department administrative duties. The successful candidates will serve as a role model in the clinical department and in interdepartmental relationships. Requirements for this position include a BSN or ADN, 5+ year of progressive clinical nursing experience, and 2+ years of critical care experience. BLS, ACLS and MN RN licensure are required and must be in good standing. Previous management experience is preferred. Coding Supervisor This key position is responsible for managing our Coding Department. Duties include overseeing coders to be sure they are utilizing all available tools for coding accuracy, ensuring adequate staffing of department needs, performing staff appraisals, monitoring overtime rates, and turnover rates. Will be responsible for the day to day management of all unbilled accounts, keeping current of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements, providing training to coders and physicians, managing unbilled accounts within company turnaround standards, working closely with business office supervisor, reviewing reimbursement denials, abiding by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the American Health Information Management Association, performing audits of physician documentation to assure compliance with current coding guidelines and accurate code selection. Requirements for this position include a diploma or degree in coding certification, 4+ years of physician coding experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience, CCS-P or CPC or equitable physician's billing experience required.

Provide support to the Family Practice MD/Nurse teams. Duties include administration of medications per physician orders, blood pressure check, assisting in obtaining prior authorizations, scheduling procedures with outside medical facilities, informing patient of test results, processing prescription refill requests, and checking equipment daily. Requires completion of Certified Medical Assistant education and successful certification exam completion. Associates Degree is preferred. Requires 6+ months of applicable experience.
Patient Services Representative - Urgent Care
Dependable, reliable and friendly individual needed to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) from 3 pm - 11pm. The successful candidate will possess oustanding customer service abilities and will be able to successfully multitask. AVMC is currently seeking a qualified MLT for a full-time position working evenings and overnights. Duties include conducting chemical analyses of body fluids using microscope or automatic analyzer, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment, operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in analysis, analyze laboratory findings, collect speciments from patients, other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited MLT program and be able to work well under minimal supervision. LPN

Specific duties include completing a brief narrative of patient's concerns, completing vital signs, administering medications per physician orders, informing patient of test results, scheduling procedures with outside medical facilities, completing charge tickets, checking equipment daily, and other duties as assigned. Requirements include an Associate's Degree, 6+ months of experience, BLS and LPN. ACLS is preferred.

AVMC has the need for a part-time Medical Records Clerk. Hours are Monday 2p-8p, Friday 2p-10p, and Saturday/Sunday from 12p-6p and 5p-11p. The duties of this position include retrieving and filing medical records and ensuring information placed into the chart is properly filed. Requires a good eye for detail, strong organizational skills and computer literacy. |
